Rwanda’s Permanent Mission Ranked Among Top Performers at Geneva Engage Awards 2026

The Permanent Mission of Rwanda to the United Nations Office at Geneva was ranked 2nd among Permanent Representations at the Geneva Engage Awards 2026, alongside the Permanent Representation of France, in recognition of its strong digital outreach and online engagement.

The Mission joins the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Indonesia, which secured 1st place, among leading actors contributing to effective and innovative digital communication across International Geneva.

Organised by the Geneva Internet Platform, under DiploFoundation, the Geneva Engage Awards assess how Geneva-based actors engage global audiences through digital platforms, including social media presence, web accessibility, and innovative communication approaches. The initiative highlights the growing importance of digital diplomacy in strengthening multilateralism and connecting international policy discussions with global stakeholders.

This year’s edition, held on 3 February 2026, focused on the evolving digital landscape in the age of artificial intelligence, emphasizing the need for institutions to remain trusted sources of information as audiences increasingly turn to AI-driven tools.

Rwanda’s recognition reflects the Mission’s continued efforts to enhance its digital presence, amplify its voice in multilateral spaces, and contribute to more inclusive and accessible global dialogue.
