Short background story

Bilateral relations between Rwanda and Switzerland are rooted in development cooperation.  Today, we are joining our efforts to expand and intensify them. These existing  good diplomatic relations between our respective counties  are developing more solidly, as evidenced by the official visit to Switzerland, in Bern in 2017 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Rwanda as well as the two meetings at the highest level in 2018, which once again strengthened these bonds of friendship and cooperation. Despite the current COVID-19 pandemic, we plan to diversify cooperation relationships in the near future, through consultation and exchange on issues of mutual.
