Rwandan Community in Vienna Marks National Heroes Day
On 1 February, Rwanda marked National Heroes Day, honouring the women and men whose courage and selflessness laid the foundations of the country’s unity, dignity, and progress. In Austria, the Rwandan community gathered in Vienna to reflect on the enduring relevance of the values embodied by the nation’s heroes, including unity, integrity, and service, and their importance in guiding present and future generations.
The commemoration also served as a call to the diaspora, particularly the youth, to translate these values into their daily lives and to actively contribute to the country’s development and the preservation of national unity.
Second Counsellor Betty Dusenge represented the Embassy.
