Rwanda to Co-Host First International Coffee Day Celebration in Geneva

Rwanda will join the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the Permanent Missions of Indonesia and Türkiye in co-hosting the first celebration of International Coffee Day in Geneva, on 1 October 2026 at the Palais des Nations.

Held under the theme “Celebrating Coffee, Honouring the People Behind Every Cup,” the celebration will highlight the importance of coffee and the people across its value chain, as well as its contribution to livelihoods, rural development and sustainable agrifood systems.

The event will bring together representatives and stakeholders from across the coffee sector for high-level remarks and an interactive dialogue, followed by a coffee-tasting and networking session.

The celebration will take place from 10:00 to 11:30 at the Palais des Nations in Geneva.
