Rwanda Participates in the Second Rwanda–Switzerland Bilateral Political Consultations
Today, 1 September 2026, Rwanda is participating in the second round of the Rwanda–Switzerland Bilateral Political Consultations in Bern, Switzerland.
The consultations follow the inaugural round held in Kigali in June 2025, which established a platform for advancing bilateral cooperation and dialogue between Rwanda and Switzerland. They provide an opportunity for both countries to review progress made since the first consultations and exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.
Rwanda's delegation is led by Ms. Grace Nyinawumuntu, Director General for Europe, the Americas and International Organizations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The Bilateral Political Consultations serve as an important mechanism for strengthening diplomatic relations, enhancing cooperation across areas of shared interest, and fostering regular dialogue between the two countries.
The consultations also provide an opportunity to reaffirm the longstanding partnership between Rwanda and Switzerland while identifying new avenues for collaboration in support of the priorities of both countries.
