Rwanda Participates in the 38th Session of the IOM Standing Committee on Programmes and Finance
Rwanda participated in the 38th Session of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Standing Committee on Programmes and Finance, held in Geneva.
During the session, Ambassador Urujeni Bakuramutsa welcomed IOM’s focus on resilience, innovation and results in responding to growing climate and displacement challenges. She highlighted the importance of scaling locally driven climate mobility solutions, strengthening health security, and ensuring predictable and flexible financing to support prevention, adaptation and long-term resilience.
Rwanda also commended IOM’s continued efforts to support Member States in addressing the impacts of climate change on mobility and reaffirmed its commitment to working with IOM and partners to advance sustainable and practical solutions that respond to evolving migration challenges.
