Rwanda Participates in Organizational Session of the Human Rights Council
Rwanda participated in the Organizational Session of the 20th Cycle of the United Nations Human Rights Council held in Geneva.
Delivering Rwanda’s statement, Ambassador Urujeni Bakuramutsa underscored the importance of ongoing Council reforms aimed at enhancing transparency, effectiveness, and credibility. She also reaffirmed the need to promote inclusiveness, including gender equality and the participation of youth and persons with disabilities.
Rwanda further emphasized the importance of upholding the principles of objectivity, impartiality, integrity, and due process in the Council’s work, while cautioning against the politicization of its initiatives and mechanisms.
