Rwanda Co-Organizes Side Event on the Right to Health During HRC59
On the margins of the 59th session of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Rwanda co-organized the side event titled “Putting Health at the Heart of Human Rights.”
The event was organized together with the Permanent Missions of Barbados and Guyana as well as the Center for Health and Human Rights Innovation and focused on the role of the Universal Periodic Review (#UPR) process in advancing the right to health.
Delivering opening remarks, Ambassador Urujeni Bakuramutsa highlighted the importance of integrating health considerations into human rights mechanisms and strengthening international cooperation to advance equitable access to healthcare.
