Rwanda and IAEA Co-Host Roundtable with Geneva-based Permanent Missions
Rwanda, together with the IAEA Liaison Office in Geneva, co-hosted a roundtable discussion bringing together Geneva-based Permanent Missions accredited to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) for an exchange with DG Rafael Mariano Grossi.
During the roundtable, DG Grossi briefed participants on the IAEA’s priorities, key initiatives and upcoming events.
Ambassador Urujeni Bakuramutsa highlighted the important partnership between Rwanda and the IAEA, including the successful hosting of the Nuclear Energy Innovation Summit for Africa (NEISA) 2026 in Kigali, which contributed to advancing Africa’s conversation on nuclear science and technology.
She reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to the peaceful, safe and secure use of nuclear science and technology in support of sustainable development.
