IAEA Chief of Cabinet Briefs Missions at Rwanda-Co-Organized Roundtable
The Permanent Mission of Rwanda co-organized a roundtable with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) at the Palais des Nations in Geneva. The session brought together Resident Representatives and Permanent Missions accredited to the IAEA for an exchange with Mr. Jacek Bylica, the Agency’s Chief of Cabinet.
In her opening remarks, Ambassador Urujeni Bakuramutsa reaffirmed Rwanda’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with the IAEA and advancing the peaceful, safe, and secure use of nuclear science and technology. She also underscored the importance of continued multilateral dialogue ahead of the 2026 NPT Review Conference.
Mr. Bylica provided an overview of current IAEA priorities and ongoing flagship initiatives, followed by a substantive discussion with participants on safeguards, nuclear safety and security, nuclear energy, and applications supporting Member States.
Rwanda’s collaboration in co-organizing this roundtable reflects its sustained engagement in multilateral cooperation and its support for inclusive dialogue on global nuclear issues.
