Ambassador Urujeni Bakuramutsa Participates in Roundtable on Women in Diplomacy in Geneva

Ambassador Urujeni Bakuramutsa joined Ambassador Francisca E. Méndez Escobar of Mexico and Ms. Tyesha Turner, Deputy Permanent Representative of Jamaica, for a roundtable discussion on “Women in Diplomacy: Navigating Challenges and Expanding Opportunities,” organized by the International Institute in Diplomacy (IID) in Geneva.

Moderated by Fleur Heyworth of the Geneva Centre for Security Policy (GCSP), the discussion went beyond personal journeys and professional challenges to explore the broader importance of inclusive leadership, collaboration and bringing together diverse perspectives and talents to advance diplomacy and drive meaningful change.

Rwanda and the International Institute for Diplomacy (IID) maintain an institutional partnership, formalized through a Memorandum of Understanding signed in December 2025, focusing on diplomatic training, professional capacity building and knowledge exchange.
